Sweden meets SA – part 1

This was the first of a three day event where we hosted 80 Europeans in our beautiful town. The weather was amazing after months of following weather channels predicting typical winter conditions. We set up a Bedouin tent over their holiday courtyard area, brought in additional furniture, music systems, a mobile bar and caterers and our guests were in awe. They enjoyed a typical South African Braai with salads, veg, ‘pap & sous’ and of course the traditional Malva Pudding, Koeksisters and the like! This was the formal (informal) introduction to the Springbokkie! Our barman poured a line of them, but we had no takers, so we placed them on a tray and offered them to our guests, well, needless to say, they were hooked. The photo’s speak for themselves. The adrenaline ran high from their new experiences and our guests continued until the early hours of Friday morning, only to be woken to the next day’s events.
