  When I received a call to arrange a dinner at the Table Bay Hotel in the Waterfront, I accepted immediately without thinking about logistics planning from Hermanus.    Then I was told it was in four days time …  and for the Department of International Relations and Co-operation (no longer the Dept of Foreign Affairs!)   Amidst the bodyguards,  it turned out to be a wonderful evening that impressed our Foreign visitors....
