Built in 1926, the first chapel in the Hemel en Aarde Valley was built,  named after the founder, KJV van Zyl. It was the Sunday School for some of our farmers who today,  are still active in the Valley.   Today, better known as the Ertjiesvlei hall hosting the annual Ertjiesvlei bazaar it is now available for hire to the public as a chapel for Weddings, Christenings, Funerals or any small personal services.  In addition to the intimate chapel which seats about 80 guests, there is a large undercover braai area with 2 built in braais as well as a large grass platform where you can erect a tent/tents or enjoy the open vista’s of the surrounding trees with the Babylon’s Toring mountain as nature’s backdrop.

The intimate chapel is a blank canvas which you can decorate as you please.  This is  a casual venue and you are welcome to make it your own.

Plans are in motion to fully equip the kitchen and upgrade the bathrooms, but it is currently ready for bookings as a chapel an d outdoor facility. Please feel free to contact me on karen@bestdays.co.za, or 083 216 8927.
