Anne and Immo tied the knot in Germany to avoid the legalities here, but they shared their nuptials at Blue Gum Country Estate in the presence of their family and closest friends, an intimate affair.  I only met the couple on their wedding day, everything was done via e-mail, so they literally just arrived and all was taken care of.

The Ceremony was traditional and ended with them cutting a heart out of a piece of linen and walking through it, symbolic of them working together in strengthening their love for each other in unity and their journey ahead.  After the ceremony Canapes and drinks were served on the wooden deck overlooking the valley followed by a relaxed dinner on the covered patio as the sun set behind the mountains.

Gifts were bags made up of South African delicacies, Biltong, Honeycomb, Dried Mango, Rooibos tea and Darling toffees. The menu was an introduction of canapes: Smoked Salmon Mousse in a Phyllo Cup, Prawn with Pineapple Salsa on a Wonton Crisp, Sundried Tomato Scone with Basil Cream Cheese, Chicken Pate with Onion Relish, Hummus with Fried Capers & Anchovies on Crostini,  StartersSmoked Salmon Trout with Avocado, Toasted Cashew Nuts, Rosa Tomatoes & a Poppyseed Dressing ~ Honey Glazed Beetroot, Butternut and Sun-dried Tomato Salad with Pecan Nuts, Feta and Apple Crisps and MainsBeef Fillet Steak with a Potato Gratin, Honey Roasted Butternut, Beetroot, Steamed Beans with a Red Wine Jus & Crispy Onion Rings ~ Panfried Kingklip with Vanilla Mash, Sautéed Seasonal Vegetables, Red Onion, Tomato, Lime and Avocado Salsa with Lemon Cream Sauce. Dessert was the Salted Caramel Carrot Cake, decadent!!

Entertainment was in the form of Gareth James band who play, unplugged during the Ceremony and Canapes, then plugged with intermittent DJ.
