Do these colours not make you want to smile?  Angel and Nkosinathi were Wed on Sunday, 19th October on the the deck adjoining the flowing infinity pools at Laughing Waters, Arabella Hotel with the lovely waterfall as their backdrop.  The guest list of 120 traveled from afar to share in this auspicious occasion, and were in awe at the beauty of the surrounds, both blessed with aqua blue skies and glorious sunshine.   The beautiful cake was created by Leigh’s cakes and two smaller cakes were made as gifts to the mother of the bride and groom respectively.   The decor was simple, vibrant friendly hues of purple and yellow, with a bit of bling to reflect the sunshine.  The white chairs were hired in to complete the fresh look.  The food prepared was a buffet of South African Barbeque set-up at the Poolside Lapa Bar, Live Entertainment shaded  under a beautiful Cork tree.  A picture perfect setting for a dreamy afternoon wedding.

I quickly learned the true meaning of ‘African Time’, our ceremony which was due to start at 11am, started at 2pm.  The luncheon ready to be served at 1pm, was eventually eaten at 5pm.  The only person who thought this odd, was me!  Everyone had a wonderful time, singing praise, laughing, dancing alongside their seats, and enjoying an afternoon filled with love and laughter.

They initially were to have an evening wedding in Hermanus, but after a weekend spent at Arabella Hotel and Spa, they made the spontaneous decision to have a Garden Wedding at their outside venue.
